I get my copy in Wed. as well and am looking forward to the hype (which is real) for this game. It's been a long time since I mashed fighting buttons in earnest for a new console game (SoulC3) but this one seems to get it right. I wonder who's making the arcade sticks for this? Has anyone modded the SFII arcade sticks yet for the PS3? Guess I'll have a look at it.

...I saw this the other day, but didn't post it cause I hate it when 'non-gamers' give their takes on gaming consoles. Sort of like the PS3 vs. Wii usability test taken by the 5 noobs that have never turned on anything electric in their life, save a light bulb. this pre-order buzz akin to the United States' launch (if not greater) and the PS3 launch on the 23rd might really get this brand (PS) back onto the charted waters it's so accustomed. (So just to prove that it's all about the games again and there's a little company (SNE) out there that knows a thing or two about cranking those puppies out)....Imagine ~ the U.S. launch with 30 fully functional titles and FW updates representing 1.6 already, with the AAA BD player accolades to boot!?. Whew.....

Just the thought of it reinforces in my mind just what a travesty this would be. EA is turning out to be the absolute Wal-Mart of video games. Not like I don't shop at Wal-Mart myself, but when I'm, looking for something special and unique unto itself or brand I don't go to Wal-Mart, but if it's something cheap and made for 'the masses' then I do. Maldread. It's little tidbits like these that continue to stir the mystic pot re: this title. I just wish they would at the very least provide a single 'working in-game' screen or a demo at EU/UK/PAL Launch would rock the house. Then again, if it's being tweaked to the Nth degree so be it. Please don't take my comments the wrong way. Again, I believe this is a viable move for MS and a smart one. Make no mistake about it...MS is gunning for the 'sexiness' of the PS3. Yeah the 360 has great games, but for the electronic-files out there in the world it lacks the panache of a fine piece of electronics ...
Square hasn't dissapointed me yet and I hope that this is very close to an 'in-game' screenshot. I know it's so cliche`-ish, but only time will tell. =]

but these shots of it prove it to be coming along rather nicely and improvement abound, this will be a healthy offering from SNE. As far as the sixaxis functionality - I'm not quite sure, but it would seem to make a fine pairing - to use the tilt to sling the web, grab buildings, etc....and there's no doubt that this will be the best looking Spidey game we've ever seen. Looking forward to it.
